About Options Applegate House

Options Applegate House is a CQC-registered Community Support Service providing specialist self-directed support and accommodation within the community for people aged 18+ with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, learning disabilities and complex needs. Based in the local community of Barton-upon-Humber, Options Applegate House is within easy travelling distance of Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and the Midlands. Personalised programmes and flexible staffing enable people to learn how to live as independently as possible with the minimum of support. Options Applegate House provides specially designed, self-contained accommodation comprised of 6 independent flats each with bedroom, en-suite bathroom, kitchen/diner and lounge. The people living at Options Applegate House are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of their flats and the communal grounds, just as if they were living in their own property. Every person living at Options Applegate House has their own personalised activity programme tailored to their individual needs, wishes and goals, which may include accessing social clubs, work related or further education opportunities. Supported access to a wide range of on-site facilities available at nearby Options Roxby House include a horticultural garden, music suite, woodworking studio, art room and IT suite is also provided. Options Applegate House supports people’s transitions into more independent living by promoting the development of key life skills. Options Applegate House benefits from having a designated and dedicated Professional and Clinical Multi-disciplinary Team (PCMT) who holistically support the development of person-centred and individualised programmes of learning and therapeutic intervention.
