Dr Buchan qualified in 1978 from the Liverpool Clinical Psychology Course and her first post was at the Institute of Neurology in London as a Research and Clinical Psychologist to Professor Elizabeth Warrington. Dr Buchan has since worked as a Clinical Psychologist and Service Manager for Adults and Children with Learning Disabilities and Complex Special Needs in Tower Hamlets in the East End of London, on the Wirral in Merseyside, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and more recently in Central and Eastern Cheshire. We accept self referrals, referrals from families and referrals from Professionals, Service Providers and Commissioners. Our Ethos is one of working in partnership with the individual and their families. A model Dr Buchan has employed since its inception in the East End of London where Dr Buchan was a collaborator with Professor Hilton Davis. Our Service currently consists of Dr Buchan, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Carly Swann, Personal Assistant to Dr Buchan, Anna Stephenson, Assistant Psychologist and Sarah Foran, Assistant Psychologist.
