Our aim is to make a difference, we support our service uses to make choices about their lives enabling them to have more control over their futures.
Our Residential Facility will respond to the individual needs of the resident, aiming to develop their independent living and social skills, aiming to instill confidence and enable them to participate in a meaningful life.
Our staff are highly trained, qualified and enthusiastic. Ensuring effective communication and providing skills in a wide range of communication interventions will provide the best opportunities for our residents to have positive outcomes.
Everyone who lives or comes to stay at Cascade will have a personalised bedroom with shower/wc. They will also share a variety of comfortable communal facilities.
Each individual will have an individual development plan tailored to meet their specific abilities and interests.
We build each person’s plan by finding out their ambitions, goals, needs and preferences, in close collaboration with their family, friends and support staff.
Personal achievement brings with it the opportunity to move into one of our Supported Living apartments, where there is a lower level of direct staff intervention. This allows the individual to live safely and independently.
The move to Supported Living enables individuals to further the independent living skills that they have developed whilst in their home environment or residential care, including budgeting, food preparation, menu planning and self care.
Our trained staff provide anything from a few hours a week helping with everyday tasks, to more comprehensive care packages and 24-hour support for people with more complex needs.
Our staff help people to make the most of the wide range of leisure and community facilities, building each individuals confidence so that they can increase their abilities and self-sufficiency in all areas of their lives. Where appropriate we also help people to take part in further education and employment.
Each individual has a person-centred plan and a structured timetable is produced around this taking account the individuals’ needs and aspirations and access to community-based activities. These are reviewed and evaluated regularly with the individual. Individuals are involved in decision-making about there home as well as in the recruitment of staff. The underlying philosophy of our service is to offer high-quality, non-discriminatory care that promotes choice, independence, dignity and autonomy, and enhances people’s quality of life.
