Errol House
The Wilf Ward Family Trust was founded in November 1986 to give relief to carers through the provision of residential respite units and day facilities. Our work began when our founding Trustees Wilf and Phyllis Ward established Isabella Court in Pickering as a Short Break service for people with disabilities. Since then The Trust has grown and offers a range of services to children and young people with disabilities, adults with disabilities and older people.

Errol House is situated in the heart of Boston Spa a village built on the banks of the River Wharfe. The village developed when a mineral spa was discovered in 1744 and retains its air of Georgian grandeur from the times when the tourists came “To take the waters”. Errol House is situated midway between York and Leeds and is easily accessed via major transport links and roads.
Errol House was opened as a short breaks service in 1999 by The Wilf Ward Family Trust. The House was adapted and developed from a family home and continues to have a homely, comfortable and safe atmosphere.

The beautiful garden at the front of the house features decking and a large summer house, fitted with sensory equipment. This year’s fundraising project is continuing to redevelop the garden, to create a sensory area for our guests to enjoy.
