About Kirk House

Like all of our Homes, Kirk House is based on our award winning design which delivers non-institutional homes that have been designed without compromise, reflecting Home From Home Care’s belief and experiences that individuals respond to quality and spacious surroundings. The original architectural style in Kirk House has been blended with a contemporary flavour to create a warm and homely atmosphere. Kirk House comprises a very spacious self-contained downstairs home for 5 individuals, with a similar upstairs home for 6 individuals. At the heart of each home are generous communal living spaces which facilitate interaction, whilst personalised en-suite bedrooms encourage individual expression and privacy. A new 6 persons’ home, comprising two 3 persons’ homes are being developed, inspirationally designed so that each individual has their own living space which in turn links to a shared central communal space. “A skilled staff team use a person centred approach to empower individuals to live as independently as possible achieving equality in many areas of their life.” – Home Manager. We offer exceptional specialist residential care for adults (18+) with complex needs including Autism, Epilepsy, PMLD, Cerebral Palsy and High Vulnerability. Substantial investment in training the staff team underpins the delivery of a high quality service. A big part of the staff’s role is to encourage and support Active Days and to help people to take necessary steps towards fulfilling their dreams and aspirations. As parents, we understand what keeps parents of children with special needs awake at night and how daunting the future can be.
